Recreational Gymnastics — Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced & Boys

Artistic gymnastics streamed by ability — perfecting basics, learning new tricks, building strength, flexibility and self-confidence on full apparatus.

Our Recreational Gymnastics programme is the heart of ProGym in Hong Kong. Children of all levels — beginner to advanced — explore the world of artistic gymnastics across floor, beam, bars, vault, trampoline and tumbling. Tailored sessions for boys and mixed groups mean there's a stream for every child. Coaches assess every new gymnast on day one and place them in the right ability group, then progress them term-on-term against a clear skill ladder. Sessions run at ProGym Wan Chai, ProGym Cyberport and selected Hong Kong partner schools.

Frequently asked questions

Do children need experience?
No. Coaches assess every new gymnast on day one and place them in the right ability stream — beginners are welcome at every age.
Are there separate boys classes?
Yes. We run dedicated boys streams so coaching is matched to the boys gymnastics events and conditioning needs.
How does progression work?
Coaches use a clear skill ladder. Children progress between streams (Beginner → Intermediate → Advanced) when they hit the required skills, not at fixed dates.
